In meiner Jugend lernte ich Landwirtschaft, musste diese aber wegen eines Unfalls aufgeben. Anschließend holte ich das Abitur nach, studierte Mathematik und Physik und bin seit 1970 Lehrer am Berlin-Kolleg (seit 1984 nach einem Zusatz-Studium auch für Informatik) - dies bis 2003, dann werde ich pensioniert und kann das Leben geniiiiessssen...   So schrieb ich 2001. Und nun, 2006, kann ich sagen: genauso ist es auch gekommen!   Mein zeitaufwändigstes Hobby ist das Langstreckenlaufen.

In my youth I learned to be farmer but had to quit it because of an accident. After that I went back to school to take my A-levels (German: Abitur) and later on to study mathematics and physics. Since 1970, I have been teacher at the Berlin-Kolleg (since 1984 after an additional study also as a teacher of computer science). In 2003, I will retire and then enjoy life...   So I wrote in 2001. And now, 2006, I can say: things have come that way!   My hobby of the biggest loss in time is long distance running.
